We go over how we often categorize things as either black or white, this or that, and fail to acknowledge the HUGE grey area that exists.
Have you ever stopped following someone online because you disagreed with their politics? Have you ever refused to see a movie because you didn't agree with the actor? If so, you may have fallen for this thinking trap—you may have fallen for the Manichaean Temptation.
Once you become aware of this, it becomes so much easier to avoid the trap. And you'll become happier, less judgmental, and more open-minded because of it.
